The Embedded .NET Database
TurboDB Managed is a comprehensive embedded SQL database written thoroughly in C#. Therefore you do not need any extra access rights for installing and executing the database code under .NET and the database also runs under .NET Compact Framework. Because of this, TurboDB Managed is the perfect database for mobile devices running on Pocket PC or SmartPhone.
This embedded database consists of .NET code only and is housed by a single assembly with requires less than 1 MB of memory. Therefore it is the perfect database solution under .NET, when it comes to small footprint, ease of deployment and zero configuration.
TurboDB Managed features a reasonable SQL subset with sub-queries and constraints, an ADO.NET provider and Visual Studio DDEX
integration.
This .NET database engine also offers transactions, stored procedures, user-defined functions and user-defined aggregates. Routines can be written either in SQL or in any .NET language and then linked to the database as a separate assembly.

All development environments for .NET Framework 2.0 and .NET Compact Framework 2.0 are supported. The designers however are based on the Visual Studio 2005/2008 interfaces and work only with compatible IDEs. The product contains the database libraries for .NET Framwork as well as .NET Compact Framework.
