The # character is used a placeholder for your version of Delphi or C++ Builder. Delphi# such means Delphi7 or Delphi6 depending on your version of Delphi.
| 1. | Uninstall any prior or demo version of TurboDB from your system and shut down Delphi. |
| 2. | Start TurboDBVCL6D#.msi. The setup program will install the package and register the TurboDB palette within your Delphi IDE. |
| 3. | Start Delphi. You will find a new component palette page called TurboDB that holds the new components. |
| 4. | Select Tools > Environment > Library and add the windows\Delphi# or the windows\CB# subdirectory of your TurboDB installation to the library path it it isn't there already. |
| 5. | Open the book "TurboDB Reference" in the Delphi online help and read the topic "First Steps". The installation tries to add the TurboDB documentation to your Delphi online-help. If this wasn't successful you can add the help files in the windows\help subdirectory to OpenHelp manually. |
| 6. | Alternatively you can open the HTML documentation in the htmldoc subdirectory. Start with file index.html. |
